Here we have experiences that in some way involve water. Whether it be an adventure day which includes kayaking, a surfing course, power boat racing, Yacht Sailing, White Water Rafting or swimming with sharks, you will get wet in one way or another.

Adventure Day

What does this activity include? Two exciting activities are available on this adventure day from Rock Climbing Absailing Coasteering and Kayaking. After a safety briefing it's time to head out to the first activity. Whichever activity you decide to do our expert and professional instructors will ensure that safety is paramount. The day is split into two sessions with a break in between for lunch. Where does the experience take place? St David's or Freshwater East both in Pembrokeshire in Wales. What should I wear? All specialist equipment is provided by the centre. Customers participating in watersports will need to bring along swimwear and a towel, trainers that can get wet and if they are Coasteering a pair of tracksuit bottoms or leggings to wear over a wetsuit. Climbers need to wear loose clothes suitable for the weather conditions on the day (hat and sunscreen if the weather is good and additional warm layers if the weather is cold) and please wear trainers or lightweight walking boots with a good grip to climb in How long should I allow for this experience? You should allow a full day for this experience. Each session will last approximately 3 hours. Start time is usually 9.00am. When does the activity take place? Courses run all year round weather permitting Are there any restrictions? All participants must be water confident. What about the weather? The weather will not normally be cause for cancellation of the experience. However the weather may cause changes to activities on the day. In the unlikely event it is postponed a further date will be offered to you. Can I bring spectators? Spectators are welcome to wait at the centre whilst you do your experience. What else do I need to know? Wetsuit hire and all safety equipment is included. Packed lunches are available by prior arrangement. Please arrive at the centre 30 minutes prior to your start time. Whilst we will make every effort to give you exactly the activities you require this may not be possible during peak season. Rest assured that whichever activity you complete will be exciting and eXhilarating. You will be informed of exactly which activities are available when booking your course.


One Day Surfing Course

One Day Surfing Course

What does the activity include? Your instructors will meet you on Harlyn beach at 09.30am and issue you with your equipment boards and wetsuits. The days location will be decided and then the fun begins. Practice your technique on the beach before hitting the surf with your instructor accompanying you at all times. Everyone is coached in waist to chest depth water unless otherwise instructed. You'll break for lunch (at your own expense) between 12.30pm and 2.00pm then it's back for more surfing until approximately 4.00pm. Where does the experience take place? Harlyn Beach Nr Padstow on the North Cornish Coast What should I bring? Please bring swimming costume towel waterproof sun block sunglasses warm clothing and money for lunch. How long should I allow for this experience? Please allow a full day for the activity. The day starts at 09.30am and ends approximately 4.00pm however these times may vary depending on weather and surf conditions. When does the activity take place? Selected weekends and weekdays dates from May to October. Please call eXhilaration for availability. Are there any restrictions? Minimum age 8 years You must be able to swim25 metres Participants will be required to fill in a medical health & fitness declaration form. Please check with your doctor if you have any medical concerns. What about the weather? In the event that the surfing or weather conditions are deemed to be unsuitable participants will be offered an alternative date. Can I bring spectators? Spectators are welcome however views may be restricted. What else do I need to know? Personal Accident Insurance is included. Souvenir photographs of your surf experience will be available to purchase. All instructors are qualified Surf Life Saving Association Life Guards and British Surfing Association Accredited Instructors. The surf school is a Council Accredited surf school. The surf school also has BSA level 4 approval (the highest rating achievable). An enrolment / fitness declaration will need to be completed on the day of the activity during your registration.


Powerboat Race Day

What does the activity include? Following registration you will have an official welcome a drivers briefing and an introduction to this fascinating sport. Then it's into the boats for your first session. You will try three different types of powerboats in this day long event including Hydroplanes Monohulls and Formula Four Catamarans each capable of speeds of up to 65mph. At 6 inches off the water...65mph feels like 165mph! After a mornings practice you will have one to one training in the afternoon whilst racing around a pre-marked circuit. Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included. Where does the experience take place? Kingsbury Water Park Warwickshire. What should I wear? Please wear casual clothing and dress appropriately for the weather conditions. We suggest a tracksuit or jeans with trainers. A change of clothing is also recommended just in case! How long should I allow for this experience? You should allow a full day for this experience. When does the activity take place? The activity takes place on about 10 selected weekday dates and 2 weekend dates from April to October. Are there any restrictions? Minimum age 14. Minimum height 5"/ Maximum height 6'2". Maximum weight 252lb / 112kg. Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness. What about the weather? The weather will not normally be cause for cancellation of the experience. In the unlikely event it is postponed a further date will be offered to you. Can I bring spectators? Spectators are welcome but there is a 10 charge to cover lunch and refreshments throughout the day. What else do I need to know? Personal Accident Insurance is included.


Yacht Sailing Weekend

Yacht Sailing Weekend

What does the activity include? The courses commence on the Friday evening with two nights on-board accommodation normally included. The courses are designed to give a taster of the sport of yachting.The courses are designed to give a ‘taster’ of the sport of yachting. The structure of the course is based around a team effort. So if you want to actively take part in all aspects of sailing the yacht you will be taught all the correct techniques required. Fuel gas safety equipment soft drinks breakfast and lunch are included. Evening meals are usually taken ashore and will be at the participant’s expense. Where does the experience take place? Poole Dorset. What should I wear? Please take with you a sleeping bag a small pillow toiletries sun cream towel soft shoes with non-skid white soles at least two warm jumpers T shirts cotton trousers or leggings (but not jeans) gloves and a woolly hat. Please pack your clothes in a "squashy" bag as no suitcases are allowed on board. How long should I allow for this experience? You will arrive by 8.30pm on Friday evening and depart on Sunday afternoon. When does the activity take place? Selected weekends from March to October. Are there any restrictions? Smoking is not allowed below decks. Minimum age 18 What about the weather? The weather will not normally be cause for cancellation of the experience. In the unlikely event it is postponed a further date will be offered to you. Can I bring spectators? Sorry all guests must hold a valid voucher for the experience. What else do I need to know? Mooring fees away from base are included. It normally takes people 24 hours to find their sea legs. Consult you pharmacist or doctor if you require seasickness medication. White Water Rafting - Full Day

What does the activity include? This is rafting at it's best! A full day of rafting along the River Tay near Aberfeldy through rolling hills and stunning scenery. Following the safety briefing and instruction you will cover around 10 miles of this river through calmer waters where you will practice your paddling skills before the river provides some more challenging rapids to keep you on your toes! Where does the experience take place? The River Tay near Aberfeldy What should I wear? Swimming costume & suitable footwear. Fleece or woolen jumpers are recommended and wetsuits are provided free of charge. Also bring a towel - you WILL get wet! How long should I allow for this experience? Courses start at 10am and finish approximately 5pm. When does the activity take place? Courses run 7 days a week between October - March subject to water levels. Are there any restrictions? Minimum age 16 years. Participants must be able to swim and be water confident. Minor cuts and abrasions need to be covered with a waterproof plaster. What about the weather? The weather will not normally be cause for cancellation of the experience. In the unlikely event it is postponed a further date or alternative activity will be offered to you. Can I bring spectators? Spectators are welcome What else do I need to know? Personal Accident Insurance is included Once a date is booked for this experience the centre requires at least 7 days notice to cancel or re-arrange a date. If you give less than 7 days this will result in the recipient losing the entire course fee.


Half Day Rib Powerboat Experience

What does the activity include? Morning Experience 9:00am Participants arrive tea and coffee available. 9:15am Safety briefing by the skipper foul weather gear and life jackets fitted. 9:30am Leave Ocean Quay Marina in Southampton participants given hands on instruction in low speed driving technique. 10:00am Reach unlimited speed area Skipper demonstrates the full potential of the RIB at speed and in waves. Participants are given hands on instruction in high-speed technique. 11:45am Return to Ocean Quay Marina participants given further low speed instruction. 12:30pm Arrive at the marina guests leave at their leisure. Refreshments are available from the restaurant at participant's own expense. Afternoon Experience Participants to arrive at 2:00pm a similarly timed schedule will be followed. Where does the experience take place? You will meet the boat at Ocean Quay Marina in Southampton. What should I wear? Foul weather gear and manually inflated life jackets will be supplied for the duration of the experience. Participants are advised to bring warm clothing and flat-soled shoes a towel and a change of clothes are recommended. How long should I allow for this experience? The experience will last about three and half hours including a safety briefing. There will be a maximum of six other participants taking part per session plus the skipper and each participant will get to drive the boat for approximately 15 minutes each. When does the activity take place? The experience is available on selected days between March and October. Are there any restrictions? The experience excludes persons with back neck or knee injuries or weight exceeding 16 stone. The minimum age of participants is 12 years under 16's to be accompanied by an adult. This activity is not suitable if you are pregnant. What about the weather? If the experience has to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions an alternative day will be offered. Can I bring spectators? Sorry this experience is not suitable for spectators. What else do I need to know? Personal Accident Insurance is included. Shark Diving in Tropical Water

What does the activity include? Upon arrival a member of staff will greet you before attending your introduction and safety briefing. You will be fitted with your Scuba equipment and dry suit before taking part in an in water instruction in the training pool during which you will be taught how to use the breathing apparatus how to clear your mask and hand signals. You will then take your first steps into shark-infested waters for your 30-minute dive with the fully qualified PADI dive instructor during your dive you will encounter a number of amazing sharks and fish such as the Sand Tiger Shark Lemon Shark Wobbegongs Nurse Shark and various other fish found in the Caribbean including Southern Stingrays. After your experience there will be time to shower and change before collecting your certificate of attendance. Having experienced something truly amazing the feeling of euphoria is overwhelming. You will want to do it all over again! **Kindly note there may be an opportunity to touch some of the sharks / fish however this will be at the discretion of the instructor. Where does the experience take place? Cheshire What should I wear? We recommend that you wear a warm top tracksuit bottoms and socks all safety equipment will be supplied by the centre. How long should I allow for this experience? Although the experience itself lasts approximately 30 minutes you should allow at least 2 hours at the activity centre. When does the activity take place? Courses run everyday except Tuesdays although weekend availability is extremely limited and must be booked at least 3 months in advance. This is only a guideline and weekend availability cannot be guaranteed. The centre is closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Are there any restrictions? You can’t take part if you are pregnant. It is also recommended that you do not fly within 8 hours after you dive. The wearing of glasses is not possible contact lenses are permitted. You will be required to complete a PADI medical form before taking part in the activity; if you answer YES to any of the questions then a GP’s authorisation letter will be required. Minimum height 5ft / Maximum height 6ft 4. There is no minimum weight restriction but the Maximum weight is 18 stone. Minimum age 16 years (there is no upper age limit). What about the weather? This activity is not weather dependant. Can I bring spectators? Yes. The first 2 spectators can enter free of charge however any additional spectators will be charged an entrance fee (please contact us for up to date fees). We recommend that you pre-book spectators to avoid disappointment. What else do I need to know? Personal Accident Insurance is included. A medical form and guideline form will be included in your eXhilaration gift pack. Please ensure you take your completed medical forms & eXhilaration voucher with you on the day of your activity failure to take these documents or failure to complete the medical form accordingly will result
